If you are all in for a second term for Donald Trump, cheer on the ‘Never Trumpers’ and the vast numbers of their media allies. The emptiness of Democratic hopefuls for the 2020 presidential race is akin to an empty cup; no message and no excitement.
The tribalism that divides the country is deeper than it was 36 years ago during Reagan’s first term. It is setting the stage for Trump’s solid and growing base of support to capture 43-49 states in the general election.
Trump’s polling numbers are steadily increasing much like Ronald Reagan’s first term (1981-85). Despite the doomsday predictions from hardcore far-left newspapers like The New York Times and Washington Post, Trump is in a commanding position whether they agree or not.
The most recent unemployment applications are the lowest since November 1969. The economy is being powered by initiatives underway to continue job and economic growth. Meanwhile the Democrats and their list of far-left hopefuls continue to scare the American electorate with their wild proposals and over-the-top political correctness.
Look for a few more proposals for 70 percent tax rates, sanctuary states, tax paid health care for everyone including illegal immigrants, open borders, anti-Semitism, and anti-Israeli hostility. Then the Democrats will be driving away everyone but the hard left. Their base of support lies mostly in selected districts on the East and West Coasts.
Crazy Cortez
New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may set a new standard for willful ignorance by a non-Hollywood personality. The vast wasteland of her liberal schoolbook rhetoric is frightening. Yet the adoring media covers her like a blanket. That’s bad news for the Democrats in general. These sorts of wild ideas do not sustain a national movement.
The energy in the Democratic Party has gone way left. The nominating process will be dictated by vast amounts of cash. The far-left has the fundraising capacity via Hollywood and liberal corporations such as Apple and Microsoft. Google and Facebook slant their favorable coverage to young potential voters that are jobless and starry-eyed in their political views.
Should former Starbucks billionaire CEO Howard Schultz run as an independent, the Democrats are through before the campaign begins. He would take far more votes from the Democratic candidate than Trump’s rock-solid base of support that continues to grow.
Liberals and their far-left wing should not ignore what Trump has accomplished. That includes collecting over $100 billion from deadbeat NATO allies and containing the Russians in their foreign adventures. The Chinese are losing the trade fight and NAFTA has been renegotiated.
North Korea strongman Kim Jong Un has changed his behavior in the right direction. Trump has consummated remarkable personal relations with heads of government. They may mutter in public, but behind the scenes they know Trump is leading the world from the White House.
The Joke of Russian Collusion
The president’s never-ending struggle with so-called Russian collusion has lead absolutely nowhere. Had there been a shred of evidence after almost two years, it would-be front-page news in all his many enemy’s newspapers and social platforms. Nevertheless, the anti-Trump Deep State media manipulation will keep the left enthralled.
The American people are gradually realizing the endless investigations are a direct derivative of Hillary Clinton’s loss and the left’s inability to accept defeat and loss of political power.
By the summer of 2020, the left will comprise around 40 percent of the country. The hardcore Trump base of supporters will realize the amazing record he has despite unending biased reporting, wild Democratic hostility and probable splits in the GOP.
Fifteen percent of the country’s voters will wish they had an alternative to either side. But in the end, Trump will be the better choice, compared to giving free stuff for everyone coming from the left. It will be a repeat of 2016.
Administration Accomplishments
The administration’s accomplishments will produce real breakthroughs both economically and in foreign affairs. The endless hysteria of endless investigations will become obvious in their intent. The wild and insane calls for universal Medicare, the end of ICE, open borders and college tuition for all will seal the far-left’s fate.
Much like dark horse George McGovern in 1972, the liberals will produce a candidate un-electable in a general election. Trump will breeze to an easy win that will free him from future political harm and the tiresome “Never Trumpers.”
