Top ULFA Leader Died in Myanmar

Guwahati, February 7: A top women leader of the anti-talk faction group of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) died at an undisclosed area in Myanmar on the 6th of February.

In a press statement, the outfit group said that, Rashmita Asom alias Jahnabi Mahanta Rajkonwar died of natural causes.

A top source of the outfit group said that, Rashmita died, when she drowned in the Kolong River near Hensang area in Myanmar on February 6.

ULFA declared three days of mourning in Rashmita’s death in their all camps from February 6.

A renown writer, teacher Jahnabi Mahanta Rajkonwar joined ULFA in February 12, 2012.
