Railway Board Chairman Reviews Progress of Lumding Silchar Gauge

The Chairman of the Railway Board, Arunendra Kumar on Thursday visited the Headquarters of Northeast Frontier Railway at Maligaon along with other senior officers of the Board.

During his visit, the Chairman held discussions with R. S. Virdi, General Manager, N. F. Railway and R. K. Singh, General Manager, N. F. Railway (Construction) and reviewed progress of the Gauge Conversion work in the Lumding Silchar section in view of the fact that ‘Mega Block’ of this section for the completion of the Gauge Conversion work would be taken from 1st October, 2014.

The Engineering Member of the Railway Board, V. K. Gupta; Additional Member (Signal), M Suresh; Additional Member (Planning), A. K. Rawal and Executive Director (Works), V. P. Dudeja were the other officials of the Railway Board present in the meeting.
