Neha Saha Gets Cumulative Grade Point Average of 9.2 in CBSE

Diphu June 3: The 17 year-old daughter of an unskilled worker, who attended Assam Rifles High School in Diphu surprised many with her academic achievements this year. The young girl studied without any family support, travelling almost 12 Km every day, and achieved a 9.2 CGPA.

The same could not be said for most in state-controlled schools throughout the state.

Karbi Anglong Cuts Sorry Figure in HSLC – 2015

With a pass percentage of 47.21 against overall 62.20% of Assam the autonomous district has cut a poor figure in the recently declared High School Leaving Certificate examination.

Although both primary and higher education is well within the administrative control of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, most government institutions have produced a poor showing. The performance of private and missionary schools have astound the arc critics of non government schools with the highest pass percentage including distinction and high marks.

In contrast the state controlled Assamese, Bengali and Hindi vernacular High schools remained restricted within the range 82.29% to 47.82%.
