NDFB Militant Nabbed in Guwahati

Guwahati, May 7: A hardcore injured militant of anti-talk faction group of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) was arrested by the Guwahati city police on Monday, police said.

“Based on our intelligence report, we launched a search operation at Gorchuk area in the city and nabbed the militant from a rented house,” an official of Guwahati city police said.

The nabbed militant was identified as Gautam Boro.

“The bullet injured militant was hiding in a rented house at the area,” the police official said.

“We suspect that, he was injured during gun battle with security forces in Udalguri and hiding at the area for trying treatment,” police added.

The arrested militant was sent to the Guwahati Medical College hospital for treatment.

In the last four months, more than 20 militants of different rebel groups were nabbed by security forces in the city.
