Narendra Modi, Prime Minister Of India, Releases Assam Itinerary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam for a two-day visit on November 29-30, an official statement from the Assam government said.

The Prime Minister will arrive at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport and will head towards Maligaon Stadium to flag-off the first train from Mendipathar (Meghalaya) to Guwahati by remote and will also unveil the plaque for a new rail line from Bhairabi to Salrang (Mizoram) on November 29.

Later in the evening, he will inaugurate the 75th anniversary celebrations of The Assam Tribune Group at ITA Auditorium, Machkhowa.

He will wind up the day by a visit to Raj Bhavan.

On November 30, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Conference of Director Generals of Police at Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara.

Later, he will attend a BJP function at Sarusajai Stadium.

On Sunday evening, a week ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit, a powerful explosion rocked Upper Assam’s Dibrugarh district, resulting in one person being killed and 20 others injured.
