Male Rhino Calf Rescued in Kaziranga

Diphu July 7: A very young male rhino calf found wandering in the wilderness of Agoratoli range was rescued by the Kaziranga forest staff this week.

The calf was handed over to Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation wildlife care facility near Kaziranga for advance care on Monday,6th July 2015.

Although the swamps of the core area of Kaziranga has not totally inundated yet by the swelling water of the mighty Brahmaputra, the WTI has kept its rescue team in readiness for rescue of the marooned animals, a WTI source told this correspondent.
