No One Follows The Laws Anymore?

No one follows the laws anymore.

Stop sign, no problem, roll on through.

Red light means speed up to too many people.

Speeding, easy peasy if you don’t get caught.

Stealing is highly profitable and a corporate mentality these days.

Murder, mayhem and vice are all in a day’s work for some.

“Our government … teaches the whole people by its example. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.” Louis Brandeis

I am certain I am not the only person who has noticed this serious slippage in the human morality department.

It is as obvious as standing beneath an erupting volcano and thinking “hmmm, it’s getting a bit warm around here.”

This failure to obey or respect law and order is not exclusively a local, statewide or even national phenom. It is also flagrantly practiced on the international scene.

The United Nations, the source of all evil in the world, knowingly disregards facts in lieu of their satanic daily agenda.

They ignore Somalian children dying of starvation and focus on allowing the greatest despots and perpetrators of evil to spew hatred and mass murder.

They focus on maligning Israel and spreading anti Semitism and hatred throughout the world with a flagrant disregard for the actual laws in place among nations.

Case in point: Israel’s right to Palestine.

In a recent article, Eli Hertz reminded not only the world, but also the State of Israel of their rights under international law.

As Hertz so eloquently points out:

The “Mandate for Palestine” on July 24, 1922, a historical League of Nations document that set forth the irrevocable Jewish legal rights to settle anywhere in western Palestine, the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, an entitlement unaltered by international law and valid to this day.

Leadership, both in Israel and in the Diaspora do practically nothing effective with the best legal weapon they will ever have: “The Mandate for Palestine.”

In the first Report of the High Commissioner on the Administration of Palestine (1920-1925) presented to the British Secretary of State for the Colonies, and published in April 1925, the most senior official of the Mandate underscored how international guarantees for the existence of a Jewish National Home in Palestine were achieved:

The [Balfour] Declaration was endorsed at the time by several of the Allied Governments; it was reaffirmed by the Conference of the Principal Allied Powers at San Remo in 1920; it was subsequently endorsed by unanimous resolutions of both Houses of the Congress of the United States; it was embodied in the Mandate for Palestine approved by the League of Nations in 1922; it was declared, in a formal statement of policy issued by the Colonial Secretary in the same year, ‘not to be susceptible of change.’

Article 27 of the Mandate for Palestine states that the “consent of the Council of the League of Nations is required for any modification of the terms of this mandate.” No such consent was ever passed.

Eleven successive British governments, Labor and Conservative, from David Lloyd George (1916-1922) through Clement Attlee (1945-1952) viewed themselves as duty-bound to fulfill the “Mandate for Palestine” placed in the hands of Great Britain by the League of Nations.

In 1947 the British put the future of western Palestine into the hands of the United Nations, the successor organization to the League of Nations, which had established the Mandate for Palestine.

When describing trust agreements such as the Mandate for Palestine, Article 80 of the United Nations Charter states that “nothing in this Chapter shall be construed in or of itself to alter in any manner the rights whatsoever of any states of any peoples or the terms of existing international instruments to which Members of the United Nations may respectively be parties.

Thus, the Mandate for Palestine is still in effect today.

It is time to tell the free democratic world:

“Effective immediately, the Government of Israel reaffirms the Mandate for Palestine as the foundation and the starting point for any and all peace discussions between the Jewish state of Israel and the Arab inhabitant in Judea and Samaria.”

What is so interesting to me is that Mr. Hertz must remind an entire country of their legal right to exist.

This is not the first time I have heard about this document or its implications or importance for the Jewish people. Yet it is blatantly ignored not only by the world, but also by Israel.

Why? Are there no Jewish lawyers left in the Jewish State?

If someone tells you, “by the way, I have decided I want your home so pack up and get out,” you would laugh in his face. Unless it was the bank of course, and in today’s economic climate, well you might even laugh at that as well.

Yet almost the entire world stands up and says “Hey Jews, move on out of your legal home” and Israel says, “Let’s negotiate. Let’s sit down and discuss this.”

What is there to discuss?

What is there to negotiate?

Here is the legal document, my title to this property.

To use a colorful Yiddishism, tell them to Geh shlog dein kup en vant. (Go bang your head against a wall!)

Israel must stand up and say, tough noogies. No land for peace, no negotiations, nada, cause it ain’t yours. So just get over it. Go somewhere else in the sixty billion square miles of Middle Eastern land that is barren and unused, or be a good neighbor and stop killing our children and spreading blood libels against our people.

The true irony that struck me as I read Mr. Hertz’s piece was a simple one.

The Jewish people are known throughout the world as “the lawgivers.”

Moses’ schlep up Mt. Sinai, twice by the way, wasn’t to get a suntan, but to bring God’s laws to mankind.

Now, while the world threatens the annihilation of the Jewish people, they are the first to ignore the law. A law that would save them, and the State of Israel, from haters who seek to destroy us for a change.

This isn’t even biblical law, but actual international law. There is no religious implication here and even for those who are not religious, it must stand.

When Bibi stood before the U.N. why not say simply, “Sorry guys, we have a legal document here. Too bad for you, but that’s the way the middle-eastern cookie crumbles.”

I have often said that life is easy; people make it hard.

It amazes me how mankind will go to the ends of earth to find a solution, when the easiest path is right in front of them.

Avail yourselves of the easy route, Israel. Just tell the world, “this has been settled, this is a done deal. Find some other evil to keep you occupied, because Israel has left the building.”
