Let US Talk About Peace After Hamas Is Destroyed

A few days ago before the 72 hours ceasefire officially ended, two rockets were fired at Israel. Israel’s ceasefire with Hamas was broken for the 9th time, and as usual, it was broken by Hamas.

Israeli cease-fires with terrorist organizations and withdrawals from terrorist-run territory are the cause of the endless need for military operations in the land controlled by those terror organizations. Peace never ensues. The only thing that does ever result in a cease-fire is the promise of the next operation, the next war, and the fulfillment of that promise. A vicious cycle that will never end, never. And always started by the Hamas terrorists.

The real reason for what the world is calling the “cycle of violence” between the Arabs and Israel is the phony peace process that U.S. has been imposing on Israel for decades, the latest, the one that Secretary of State John Kerry spent months trying to broker between Israel and the Arab-Palestinians of the Palestinian Authority clan.

More specifically, it is the culmination of Israeli appeasement toward Washington, EU, UN and Ramallah, always with far reaching considerations of what the outcome for Israel will be. In other words, the Operation Protective Edge-Solid Rock has been just as inevitable as every armed conflict against the Jewish state since the 1948 War of Independence.

Anyone who really wants a cessation of war between Israel and its Arab foes must know by now that the worst way to achieve it is to talk of peace, which the Arabs never wanted before and do not want now. Peace needs to be built from the bottom up, and that means taking into consideration and correcting all the elements that cause talking about peace, but lead to more war and regular military operations.

The US and Britain did not talk peace with Hitler. They vanquished him!

Now that Hamas has broken the present ceasefire, the only useful question is: Will Israel finally vanquish Hamas, as it should?
