Israel To Where From Here

Israel is still celebrating bringing Gilad Shalit back home to safe grounds from the dark dungeon of Hamas. Millions of words were written, expressing the event into which Israeli allowed itself to be blatantly coerced, and for which she was ridiculed, harshly criticized and some even praised her, all on the same very page.

The idea of exchanging one Israel soldier, who has never harmed anyone, for frighteningly huge number of bestial genocidal murders, with much Jewish blood on their hands, is not unprecedented in Israel’s short history. However, has iron clad proof it is rather apocalyptic.

No other country would have taken such an extreme step of redemption, especially when the “property” she redeemed, in order to release her captured son, were sent free within a distance from where they can strike Israel again, at any given moment.

My question to Israel is, to where from here? One door closed and what door will you now open?

The reason I am asking this question, is simple; Israel is not only totally surrounded by vicious enemy on all her borders and beyond, this very enemy is nestled on her land and many members of this enemy holds an Israeli citizenship, worse of all, some of them are even members of the Israeli legislator, the Knesset.

Against all odds, the creation of the Jewish State of Israel became an awesome sight. She is now the subject of questioning and delegitimizition, much because of the way Israel has handled itself in the international arena, especially the way it has [mis]handled its enemy.

There were years when Israel was called the 51st state of the United States, but no more. This is because, since the Oslo Accords, one American president after another has manipulated Israel along Israel’s enemy’s demands and Israel caved in over and over again, putting itself in unprecedented disadvantages. Israel submission to the international community’s pressure, assisting the needs of her enemy, has deepened, the latest charade, capitulating to her worst enemy Hamas.

Weakness and capitulation is not a good trait. But along this trait the Israeli government has bee and is operating and there is no end in sight.

In its predicament of being embedded in endless hostility, Israel needs the strongest and most resolved leadership a country can have, which it does not have. Her leadership must be aggressive and on the offense and protect and defend the country’s precious sovereignty, along its legal rights to the land, as if it is the most expensive jewel in the entire world. But, sadly, they do not.

I have no say in the way Israel conducts herself, but my head spins to see how it operates. I wish things were different.

I go to back to Israel’s latest capitulating to her worst enemy Hamas. Dr. Martin Sherman so correctly states that the Schalit debacle is yet another example of the ongoing erosion of Israel’s national sovereignty, a demonstrating that it fails to operate as a sovereign entity and it is beginning to lose the very point of its existence: The expression of Jewish political independence.

The Israeli leadership must finally understand that it needs not seek international affection. All it needs to get is respect, better yet, be greatly feared.

My advice: Israelis must understand, and behave along this concept, that they are connected to each other and the land of Israel in an inseparable links, which create an unbreakable chain that allows Israel to survive. Sarcasm must be replaced by unity, determination and hope and the time to do the change is now. It is no longer acceptable that Israelis act as if they are modern slaves of the Arabs, subjected to their whims.

Time to determine how Israelis want to live in their God’s given land in everlasting best survival possibilities. Present conduct, will not yield such results.

The state of Israel, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, is the home for all Jews. Since that the Jewish sages said that all Israel is responsible for each other, time for the government of Israel to act responsible, be responsible for the Godly asset it has been assigned to defend and protect for the entire Jewish Nation.
