The Nazi Archives at Bad Arolsen in Germany were first announced to the public in 2007. By re-watching the 60 Minutes clip along with events taking place in the upside down world we live in, some profound thoughts passed my mind.
Even though the Nazis kept and left, millions of fastidious, pedantic records, and while hundreds of thousands of people who were there, on either side of the fence, as victims, perpetrators or witnesses, are still walking the earth, people actually have the impudence to deny that the Holocaust indeed happened and to what extent. Remarkably so, some of the Holocaust deniers actually hold academic credentials, or are even known as “leaders.”
And it is not just single persons to deny the Holocaust. The, more or less, official Arab and Islamic position can be summarized as such that the Holocaust is all a Zionist fabrication to blackmail the world, that caries guilt, to justify the existence of the state of Israel and anything Jews do.
Mahmoud Abbas, the one who leads the “peace process” with Israel, has a long history of Holocaust denial. This Islamofascist, also known as Abu Mazen, wrote his doctoral dissertation. He published the book in Arabic in 1983, translates as, “The Other Side: the Secret Relationship Between Nazism and Zionism.”
According to a translation provided by the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, a Museum and educational center focusing on racism in America and the history of the Holocaust, in his book, the author Abbas has repeatedly attempts to cast doubt on the fact that the Nazis slaughtered 6 million Jews.
“Following the war,” he writes, “word was spread that six million Jews were amongst the victims and that a war of extermination was aimed primarily at the Jews. The truth is that no one can either confirm or deny this figure. In other words, it is possible that the number of Jewish victims reached six million, but at the same time, it is possible that the figure is much smaller – below one million.”
More disturbing is the fact that Abbas’ Holocaust denial dissertation is now widely taught in Palestinian Authority (PA) schools and is part of their curriculum. People who deny factual history, thus lie, people who deny the right of a Nation to exit in their homeland are by no mean material to negotiate with and arrive at vital conclusion.
Some say, ‘the Holocaust has been wildly exaggerated’, others say ‘it never happened,’ or, ‘it is too bad Hitler didn’t finish the job.’ Inconsistency does not really matter, what matters is, it serves Islam and the anti-Semites amongst us.
In her recent speech on Yom Ha’Shoah, Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day, at Young Israel of Hillcrest synagogue in Queens, New York, Caroline Glick, Israel’s leading journalist stated, all living Jews are Holocaust survivors. Because if Hitler accomplished his “Final Solution” plan there would have been no Jews left to procreate, thus fulfill the commandment, of ‘be fruitful and multiply.’ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPdqzFK6-KQ).
Through mass murder, through seeing the poisonous gas shower chambers sites, through the scenes of live bodies thrown into crematoria, and through atrocities beyond the darkest of human imagination, the Jewish survivors of the Holocaust were finally made to understand they need to have their homeland, back in the same land of Israel, and be, again, a sovereign nation and a sovereign state.
That brought about the establishment of the State of Israel, an effort that started three decades earlier by Ze’ev Herzl and the Zionist movement he established.
However, Jewish history attests that Jews have a consistent struggle within themselves in regards to who they are and their relations with the Land of Israel, meaning, in slight comic,
When the Israelites-Jews were told, “Leave Egypt and go into the desert…” they said, “Are you out of your mind?,” until they were convinced…
When Jews were told, while in exile, “Leave Babylon,” they said, “Are you out of your mind? Eretz Yisrael-the Land of Israel is impoverished and dangerous. You go and we will send money.”
When the Jews were told, just as Hitler started his Nazi hype, “Leave Germany,” they said, “Are you out of your mind? We are German citizens of Mosaic faith. This is our homeland and this is our Temple.”
When the Jews were told, just before Hitler’s Nazi forces conquered the land, “Leave Hungary,” they said, “Bist do meshigeh-are you crazy?”
When the Jews were told, “Leave the Soviet Union,” they said, “Die Sovietishe heimland-Our Soviet Homeland? Leave the revolution? Now that we have achieved equality and brotherhood?”
When the Jews are told, as the Islamonazis are taking over everywhere there, “Leave England,” they say, “Are you daft?”
When Jews are told, just as life in these countries is becoming more dangerous for Jews, “Leave Argentina, or Venezuela, or Chile, etc., they say, “How can we afford to live like we do here in Israel?”
When Jews are told, “Leave America,” they say, “The goldene medina-the land made of gold? The Freedom AND the money? Are you mad?”
When friends of a young Jewish woman from Belfast, Ireland heard she is about to make ‘Aliyah-to ascend-immigrate to Israel they told her, “Don’t you know how dangerous it is there? There could be a war there any day.” And she said to them, “Look around you. There is a war here every day.” But people come to consider their circumstance as somehow rational and normal.
Yes, for the past 63 years Israel has not seen a day of rest. It is a country constantly fighting for its survival but, Israel is also the only place on earth every single Jew can call it his home. It is a place no Inquisition, not Pogroms or Holocaust can take place. It is a place Jews can defend themselves.
When it comes to Jews, the world has not learned or refuses to learn from history. It appears that it is always ready to go to its beastly anti-Semitic abyss one more time.
Today, the Islamofascists and their Leftist cohorts are the drum majors of the worldwide anti-Semitism phenomenon and the attacks on Jews.
Jews must be aware of the growing dangers everywhere and be willing to make Aliyah-immigrate to Israel before it is too late. The argument that living in Israel is just as dangerous, or more dangerous, than in the Diaspora must be weighed against recent Jewish history in Europe of the 1930s-to mid 1940s.
Israel can be a much less dangerous place if many Diaspora Jews, and some Israelis too, let go of the collective drive to subvert Israel. More so Israel’s leadership must not be wrongly influenced by overseas folks, many of them, Jewish. The interest of the state of Israel and Israelis must be the only influential factor, not even the yearning to receive a Prize by making irrational decisions at the account of thousands of lives.
Though we pray for and say never again, the time may come that those Jews who will not find refuge, in timely manner, in their homeland Israel will be left behind. Take a heed, don’t let it be.
