Gunmen Kill Religious Leader in Baidoba, Somalia

A very popular religious man named Sheikh Sharif Sayid Ali Sharif Nurow Amin was shot dead while on his way from mosque by armed men after Maghrib prayers.

He was top Islamic religious preacher and Imam at a big mosque in Baidoba.

The killing of senior religious figures has been common since the various religious groups’ presence in the country; even though, no one has yet claimed responsibility.

Civilian murder has been one of the most serious security breaches in the southern regions of Somalia.

Locals remain worried as no one knows who the gunmen will hit next.

However, Baidoba city authorities insist they have security measures in place and will soon discover those behind this brutal action.
