Pound for Promotions Loses one of its own in Tragic shooting

Pound for Pound Promotions has suffered a devastating loss when 154-pound rising star Ronny “Venezuela” Vargas, 20 years of age, was shot and killed in a senseless act of violence during the early hours of Saturday morning.

“Aside from his boxing ability, Ronny Vargas was a sincere pleasure to know as a human being. He had a bright future ahead of him and my heart goes out to his family,” said John Lynch, CEO and president of Pound for Pound Promotions.

Lynch’s brother and manager of Ronny Vargas, Pat Lynch, could not be reached for comment. Vargas was a three-time golden gloves champion and undefeated as a professional.

The entire Pound for Pound family sends their blessings to the family and friends of an amazing young man-he will not be forgotten.
