South Carolina Republican Congressman Holding The Fort

I am very proud to point out the yeoman’s service being offered in defense of our Constitutional freedoms by three of our freshmen Republican congressmen; Jeff Duncan, Trey Gowdy and Mick Mulvaney. They comprise 30 percent of the 9-man detachment keeping us safe out of a freshman class of 87.

As has been historically true South Carolina again offers more than her share for the benefit of the country at large and without the fanfare they richly deserve. I don’t want them to lose their reward but they deserve to be recognized and encouraged.

What great service are they offering you ask? They are keeping the lights on in the U. S. House of Representatives and thereby preventing President Barak Obama from making recess appointments. Recess appointments are appointments of government officials such as commissioners, cabinet secretaries and even judges by a president without those appointees having to go through the confirmation process.

As long as our stalwart freshmen congressmen stay in the House the session keeps going and Obama cannot appoint his radical activist friends that would never be confirmed if sent through the normal process.

Of course past Presidents have all made recess appointments and even President Obama has made some but no President has appointed the radical activists this President has. So if you get a chance to contact Representatives Duncan, Gowdy or Mulvaney please let them know that you appreciate the sacrifice they are making while the rest of Congress is home on their August recess.

We may never know what disasters have been averted by not having radicals like Van Jones commissioned while no one was looking. Thankfully Duncan, Gowdy, Mulvaney and six others are looking.
