Loretta Lynch, Far-Left Eric Holder: Two Peas in a Pod

Loretta Lynch announces DOJ action against North Carolina.

When presidents appoint an Attorney General, everyone holds their breath, because nobody knows how they will operate. This is true no matter what the political shade of the administration. Loretta Lynch has been in the job a little over 12 months, and the chickens have come home to roost.

Lynch was appointed by Barack Obama after Eric Holder resigned. There was great hope that she would not be a far-left radical like Holder.

Democrats may not think Holder was a radical lefty, but let’s look at his record.

Holder Leaned Hard Left

Holder should have been running the DOJ in an even-handed way, but his own prejudices shone through like a laser beam. Rather than being a calming force on racial tensions, he amped them up, in some cases by ignoring them and in others by pandering to prejudice.

Here are four examples.

  1. There was a clear case of voter harassment by the Black Panthers – Holder ignored the fact that the panthers scared the living daylights out of white voters by carrying and brandishing clubs at a voting location.
  2. It was Holder who pushed voter ID scare tactics.
  3. Holder was the tactician in the “Fast and Furious” gun-running debacle. That effort left one border agent dead and provided weapons to Mexican cartels so they could kill other Mexicans with American hardware.
  4. When the IRS engaged in blatant politically motivated lawlessness against conservative groups, he sloughed it off.

These weren’t the only things Holder presided over. In some cases, it was what he didn’t do that caused problems.

Holder was really very one-sided. You can be sure he wasn’t over on the conservative side.

He – and everyone who received email from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton – knew that she was using a private email server for her official emails, rather than the official State Department system. Holder completely ignored that fact.

There were serious irregularities around the $2 billion Clinton Foundation. Result? No action. In Washington circles, that is known as political cronyism.

The Department of Justice has a civil rights division. It is staffed by far-left political activists.

Even Eric Holder’s most ardent supporters were well aware of the blatantly obvious partisan corruption under his tenure.

If you disagree with this assessment or aren’t sure, check out the book “Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department,” by J. Christian Adams.

Is Loretta Lynch Different?

Everyone in Washington and those who care, around the nation wondered how Loretta Lynch would be different. So how does Loretta Lynch compare? Her record thus far tells the story.

Under her watch, the justice department sided with far-left groups that sued to undo state legislation around proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Those groups wanted to undo that requirement legislated in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia and Kansas. Lynch’s actions drew rebuke from a federal judge.

Just last week, the DOJ revealed it will not seek the death penalty for terrorist suspect Abu Khattala should he be convicted of planning the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. That was the attack on Sept. 11, 2012 that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens. Legal scholars say Khattala’s guilt is a slam dunk. So why won’t Loretta Lynch and the DOJ pursue a commensurate penalty for that act?

There are other outrageous stances taken by the DOJ. Anyone who hoped for a non-political DOJ now knows that nothing has changed, and Holder may as well still be there.

The recent issue of allowing men to use women’s restrooms is a case in point. The far-left sees this as a “civil rights” battle, but many black leaders are offended by this comparison.

The Department of Justice, or as Michael Cutler says, The Department of Injustice wants to legally force schools and cities to grant transgender males access to girls and women’s restrooms ranks. They do this using the back of the black civil rights movement.

Loretta Lynch equates the “injustice” of laws keeping men out of women’s bathrooms to Jim Crow laws and school racial segregation.

Anyone who disagrees with that position is vilified as a hater and a bigot. For Ms. Lynch to suggest that anyone who disagrees with her position is a bigot, reveals in full her own contempt for nature and the legitimacy of our laws, as stated in the Declaration of Independence.

Nothing Changes In This Administration

In Barack Obama’s administration, the epigram of Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr rules the day. “The more things change, the more they remain the same.”

Those of the far-left are hoping not for Hope and Change, but for more of the same. Hillary Clinton already announced that her administration will be Obama’s third term.

Conservatives, independents and millions of Americans who abhor judicial abuse are looking for a change. We especially don’t want to see a continuation of such abuse either in secret or right under our noses to appease the far-left with ridiculous political correctness.
