ISIS Defeat Inevitable in Near Future Thanks To No Political Interference

Celebrating the defeat of ISIS

Throughout the presidential campaign then-candidate Trump said he would “smash ISIS.” More than few voters were skeptical after seeing the results from the Obama administration’s efforts. ISIS defeat appears to be inevitable.

There are few skeptics now. The American Air Force has been working overtime to pound Islamic State targets in Syria. They decimated the ISIS capital of Raqqa.

The number of combat sorties in May against the savages know as ISIS surged more than 300 percent compared to previous months. New airstrike figures confirm the remarkable defeat of America’s enemy by the day.

ISIS Defeat

The numbers are astounding. U.S. and coalition combat aircraft flew 225 airstrikes last month, hitting 280 known Islamic State or ISIS redoubts in Syria. Striking mostly along the volatile Euphrates River Valley, Operation Inherent Resolve is getting the job done. Largely an American operation, it is a massive counterterrorism mission.

Then-candidate Trump said he would let his military carry the fight to the enemy and keep politics out of it. Unlike the previous administration keeping the ISIS threat in the news daily, it has become almost invisible as they pounded ISIS soldiers into submission.

In fact, during a single six-day period in May, American and allied fighter jets carried out 41 airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria and Iraq. That resulted in 49 enemy targets hit, coalition officials said in a statement.

The numbers are mind-boggling. Without political interference, the ISIS threat has literally been wiped from the face of the earth.

Most operations are in support of Operation Roundup. That is the ground campaign led by the Syrian Democratic Forces or SDF. An American-backed coalition of Kurdish and Arab paramilitaries support the Syrian Democratic Forces.

There are but a few pockets of ISIS resistance in the Euphrates River Valley left. This news would have been impossible just 18 months ago. Operation Roundup continues until ISIS is totally defeated.

It is yet another clear indicator of Trump’s foreign policy success. This along with the gains in the North Korean nuclear crisis are putting the president in line for his own Nobel Peace Prize. That would be a deserved prize, compared to the undeserved prize Obama received. Obama received his prize for merely talking about peace, but delivering more war.
