Democrats Digging Huge Hole With Sexual Misconduct Scandal

Corruption in Washington, DC is nothing new. It has been going on for centuries. Politicians continuously push the needle to determine just how far they can take the American taxpayer. Manipulation of the system is conducted daily by career lawmakers who will do whatever it takes to retain their power.

Candidate Donald Trump was correct when he labeled Washington “a swamp.” Big industry money flows in through special interest groups and fraternizing with special interest lobbyists is commonplace to appease their corporate masters.

Corruption has reached a new zenith of debauchery in the nation’s capital. It now appears that Republicans in name only, better known as “RINOS,” have joined forces with the unofficial, but widely acknowledged liberal resistance to oppose President Trump.

But a crack has appeared in this unholy alliance. It may send many pious public officials scurrying for cover. It centers on the latest revelations of heinous allegations of sexual misconduct. It appears no one in Washington is impervious to this onslaught.

Although the list is growing weekly, one lawmaker in particular should nauseate American taxpayers. Rep. Raul Grijalya (D-AZ) has allowed citizens to pay off a female staffer for his “hostile work environment.” That is legal mumbo jumbo for a sexual predator.

It was revealed by The Washington Times that the congressman co-opted public funds in a payout to a female employee who threatened to sue him. The top Democrat on the House Committee on Natural Resources negotiated the payout through the House Employment Counsel, the body’s attorney, and cost taxpayers $48,395.

The settlement may have violated House rules. It seems ‘an employee who does not perform duties for the offices of the employing authority commensurate with the compensation such employee receives.’ That most definitely would define Rep. Grijalya.

It seems the lump sum handed over to keep the female employee quiet should have been paid in monthly installments, the Times reported. Do you feel like a shower is necessary at this point? We the taxpayers paid Grijalva’s disgruntled staffer five month’s severance.

This comes on the heels of longtime Democratic Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) resignation from the House on Tuesday. It appears the liberal left is having difficulties occupying a place in our system of government as statesmen and gentlemen.

These embarrassments have come after the shocking defeat of their “sure thing” candidate Hillary Clinton last year. Their party is on life support after losing the presidency, Senate and House the last eight years. There is little wiggle room left for a party facing utter obscurity if they cannot make a decent showing in midterm elections next year.
