At Odds With The President

In the past four years I have developed a strong dislike for President Obama. I am not alone with these feelings as many others share my feelings. I do not justify my dislike and it’s not strengthened because I am not alone. I have been asked why I do not like the man. It isn’t a simple answer but here it is and hope you can understand.

‘Having served my country as a Marine I carry a great love in my heart for America the Land of the Free and home of the Brave. I vowed allegiance to my country when I joined and would have given my life for it if the situation required that sacrifice. I am also a student of the Constitution and our government of which has led me to believe we are heading in the wrong direction.

This nation was conceived with three important facts contained in the Constitution. The first is Freedom of Religion. That man, meaning person, has the right to worship God according to the dictates of their hearts and minds. Second is Equality that all men are created equal and with that equality they are free to speak, work, and enjoy life. The third is this government allows the people certain unalienable rights. As Lincoln states life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

This nation is owned by the people not one man or body of men but the people who live in this land, and it belongs to the people. To this person this is as sacred as any document ever written by man (excluding the scriptures). We as a people should be grateful to God for this nation and the good it stands for, what it represents and its liberties.

Our President has ignored the constitution and congress has just let him wipe his feet on it. He does things with force that the Constitution does not allow and how does this happen. In a free society it is the good of the people who make it a great nation. This President wants to take away from those who have made it and give it to those who can’t make it for various reasons. I know some wealthy people seek for more and more and more but there are those who help others and are loving caring people. The cold hard fact is they have the right to do exactly as they do, they and us are free to pursue and obtain.

A society of free people must learn basic honest standards of caring for others. If we fail at this then we fail at life. It is our religious system that teaches people to make their hearts soften to give and love others; it is not the governments job.

This president believes in socialism and this requires force not love, patience, and education. Hitler used small amounts of force in the beginning but then what happened? He forced the health care system down the throats of the people and he is staged to force socialism down the throats of this same people. Congress and the Supreme Court failed their duty to safe guard the rights of the people.

When the population of a civilization becomes apathetic is when that civilization begins to stray from the principles of order and it is subject to tyranny to be established and take over and rule. This President displays his disdain for this country and ignores the rules and regulations the laws that govern the office of President. This election will show if we have created our own worse fear or do we realize the dangers of developing and living apathetically.

The founders of the Constitution warned future generations of apathy. People who fear the government are subject to tyranny but if the government fears the people there is liberty. Let us hope and pray we not go down the path of socialism and we remain free to continue our government of the people and for the people to remain forever Free. ..
