She noted that the Iraqis are buying military equipment from the United States. She said the U.S. government will be working with them, as they work with Jordanians, Colombians, and others around the world.
Ms. Clinton stated that the U.S. government has security relations from Jordan to Colombia. She said that they are going to be present in Iraq, supporting the Iraqis, and continually discussing with them what their needs are.
Ms. Clinton stated that the U.S. govenrment always made clear they are open to discussions with the Iraqis if they wanted some kind of continuing presence.
He highlighted that NATO also decided to wind down its operations while continuing to monitor the situation inside Libya and be ready to act if necessary if civilians are threatened.
She underscored that the transition will move from international military control to Afghan military control, and the security presence throughout Afghanistan led by Afghans themselves.
