Comic-Con 2011: ‘Ringer’

The ultimate double cross

As Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar spent seven seasons as the “Chosen One” who leads the battle against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness while falling for not one but two vampires with souls — including one with the face of an angel.

Now, after eight years, she returns to Tuesdays as star and executive producer of Ringer.

The actress does double duty as Bridget, a recovering addict on the run from both sides of the law, and her sister Siobhan, who goes missing. Bridget decides that her only chance to stay alive is to pose as her wealthy twin, who has a handsome husband (Ioan Gruffudd, Fantastic Four) — and a handsome lover (Kristoffer Polaha, Life Unexpected). There’s just one problem: there is a contract on Siobhan’s life.

Lost‘s Nestor Carbonell plays the federal agent assigned to Bridget’s case.

Ringer premieres Tuesday, September 13 at 9p on the CW; check out interviews with the cast at Comic-Con plus more on the series online at www.cwtv.com
