Senior Citizens Celebrate Lohri at Ivy Hospital

The festival of Lohri was celebrated with full joy and enthusiasm at the Ivy Hospital premises in sector 71. A gathering of more than 100 members of Chandigarh Senior Citizens’ Association took part in the event. They were also offered the facility of owning the Privilege Cards, by which they could get round the year free medical advice from the doctors of specified departments at a cost of Rs 1100 only for two.

Mr Gurtej Singh, CEO, Ivy Hospital said, “The privilege card holders would be allowed to get free advice from the experts of certain departments including the department of Cardiology, Urology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, General Surgery, General Medicine and Dietetics. Lohri means a lot to us as the hospital has successfully entered into the third year of operations. We rededicate ourselves for the cause of affordable medical facilities to the needy people of the society.”

Dr. Kanwal Deep, Medical Director, Ivy Hospital was also present at the Lohri celebration. The senior citizens along with the hospital staff danced to the tunes of Lohri songs like Sunder Mundariye Hoy, Tera Kaun Bechara Hoy. Groundnuts, gachak and other eatables were distributed.

The guest senior citizens also enjoyed informative lectures given by prominent doctors of the hospital including Urologist Dr. Avinash Shrivastav and Cardiologist Dr. Harpreet S Gilhotra. Dr. Avinash, who has also worked with the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, gave certain advice regarding ailments related to the Prostate Gland, while Dr. Gilhotra based his talk on the tips to keep the heart healthy and happy.
