Crab Feed, Dance and Auction Fundraiser at Empire Oaks Elementary School

FOLSOM, Ca. – The Empire Oaks Elementary School PTA is to host a Crab Feed for this year’s biggest fundraiser event. The dinner and evening of entertainment will be held on May 1st, from 5:30pm until midnight, at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma Street, Folsom, CA 95630.

Proceeds from the crab feed and auction directly benefits the school’s S.M.A.R.T Program (Science, Math, Reading, Arts and Technology).

An individual ticket includes Dungeness crab, pasta, salad, bread and gourmet desserts. An optional “King Crab” package includes reserved seating and dinner for 8 guests, plus two bottles of wine for the table and 20 raffle tickets for your group.

Music and dancing, raffles and fabulous silent and live auctions will also be featured during the evening.

Tickets are available in person at the Empire Oaks Elementary School office Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm or via mail. Tickets are also available for purchase on-line at Crabfeed or call 916-983-0120.

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and organizers recommend you order your tickets early, as limited seating is available.

Tickets are $35 when purchased through April 30th. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $40, space permitting, with no admittance past 6:30p.m.

Technical Expertise

Alan is also a techie. His father was a British soldier in the 4th Indian Division in WWII, with Sikhs and Gurkhas. He was a sergeant in signals and after that, he was a printer who typeset magazines and books on his linotype machine. Those skills were passed on to Alan and his brothers, who all worked for Telecom Australia, on more advanced signals (communications). After studying electronics, communications, and computing at college, and building and repairing all kinds of electronics, Alan switched to programming and team building and management.

He has a fascination with shooting video footage and video editing, so watch out if he points his Canon 7d in your direction.
