U.S. Houses 12 Million Illegals As Lawmakers Advocate More Immigration

The US has at least 12 million illegal immigrants within its borders. There may be more.

As we have seen this year – and for the past few years – Congress seems intent on an amnesty and also opening up the floodgates to allow two million legal immigrants per year.

Frosty Wooldridge has been writing about this problem for years, as have a large number of concerned organizations. Congress is not listening. The president is not listening.

The subject of illegal aliens in this country looks like a political football that is being booted around. The aim of proponents appears to be the gaining of Hispanic votes in the future.

The hot button topic for Democrats now, since they have totally wrecked the healthcare system, is “Comprehensive Immigration Reform.” Whatever that means.

Congress – Democrats and Republicans – is considering a number of immigration reform options. These options include work permits for illegal aliens and also increases in legal immigration.

Not all lawmakers think this is a good idea, and some are asking why their colleagues want to make unemployment worse, and why they want to have more people of food stamps. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, unemployment is already alarmingly high among native-born American adults with less than a college education. These are the people who would be competing against the illegal immigrants with their new permits. They would also be competing against a new influx of legal immigrants – an additional one million per year on top of the existing one million per year.

The report says that, during the fourth quarter of 2013, the unemployment rate among native-born American adults not completing high school was 16.6 percent while those with a high school education was 8.5 percent.

The government’s official unemployment rate is a joke.

A few people are questioning why congress wants to increase the number of new immigrants, considering that there are huge number of people out of work and many more on food stamps. The report says that of all native-born Americans, between the ages of 18 to 65, at any education level, 50.5 million were unemployed in the fourth quarter of 2012. That is 8.8 million more than in 2007 and 14.7 million more than in 2000.

Why are so many Democrats interested in adding a lot more immigrants to this country when so many people are already unable to find jobs? According to some, it is simple math. Democrats believe they have the political ear of Hispanics and more hispanic immigrants equals more democrat voters, and that may mean an impossible task for republicans to ever win control of Congress again.

Democrats have no interest in the nation’s well-being, only their own political futures.

President Obama, this country’s first black President, should note the unemployment rate for U.S.-born blacks ages 18 to 29 who did not finish high school. It is an incredible 57.3 percent. These people are likely to be Obama voters. It remains to be seen whether they will remain democrat voters after a few years of massive immigration and the legalizing of 12 million illegals make it next to impossible for them to get jobs.

The ratio of people working to people not working is getting worse. In the fourth quarter of 2013, only two working-age native-born Americans held a job for every one that was unemployed.

And we’re not even officially in a recession – it is just a slow economy.

It makes no sense at all. What am I missing? What makes this a good idea other than more democrat voters.
