Give Chance to Peace and Reconciliation, not Mythological Fatal Dreams!

Ivica Dacic’s message from Northern Mitrovica of Kosovo: “Serbia will never abandon you and Kosovo, and you should not abandon it either.”

On Friday, November 15, 2013, Serbia’s Prime Minister Ivica Dacic visited Northern Mitrovicacity of Kosovo where Serbian minority do not recognize the state institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, but is connected directly and indirectly with Belgrade authorities of Serbia.

On the occasion of his visit Prime Minister Ivica Dacic called Serbs in Kosovo to be united in repeated local elections( at three voting centers in Mitrovica) on Sunday (November 17) and to vote for the Srpska Civic Initiative. “You know best what you should do and your future depends on the way you vote, he told to the thousands of gathered Serbian citizens in northern separated city of Mitrovica that he had not come to order or to beg anyone to turn out for the elections. I call upon you to show unity. I am here to show that Serbia is still in Kosovo.”

“Serbia cannot help you with guns or tanks, but can help you with a wise policy and decisions. It is therefore it is essential you take power in Mitrovica. Serbia will never abandon you and you should not abandon it either,” said the Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.

For this reason why official Pristina was enforced to get in an imposed political dialog with government of Serbia supported by EU so as to reach the Brussels Agreement (April 19, 2013) in order tonormalize the relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Among the others, on November 3 of this year, on a basis of this agreement are organized local elections in the whole territory of Kosovo including and Serbs in northern its part who for the first time after fourteen years (1999-2013) have been voted for their municipal political leaders. But their final result was negative and legally unaccepted because Serbian ultranationalists threatening and obstructed Serbian voters in main centers of polls in Mitrovica have been destroyed and confiscated boxes of voter lists.

For this purpose on Sunday 17, 2013 are going to repeat local elections in northern Kosovo where Serbs will elect their political leaders and heads of the four their municipalities.

If these elections successfully completed Serbs according to the Brussels Agreement (April19, 2013) will establish the Association of Serb municipalities in Kosovo which in all likelihood will function independent of the state institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. This proves too Krstimir Pantic’s statement (member of the Srpska Civic Initiative), candidate for mayor of Mitrovica, who said to Belgrade “Tanjug” Agency that “Association of Serb Municipalities will not listen to Kosovo, but will be a barrier to Kosovo’s independence because, as he explained, the ten Serb municipalities of more than 30 in the province to refuse obedience to the Prishtina and reiterate the Albanians and the international community not to recognize Kosovo as an independent state, not want to be Kosovars, but Serbs and will look for even stronger ties with Serbia than in the past.” (November16,2013,

This is main motivation and political purpose why all Serbs in northern Kosovo must go to the polls on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Otherwise, Serbia will abandon Serbs in northern Kosovo. The Brussels Agreement Right or Wrong? Let us give chances to justice and lasting peace to bring together Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo, not to Serbia’s rule over any part of Kosovo. This should be essence of Brussels Agreement (April 19, 2013) signed by Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, supported by EU mediator Cathrine Ashton. There’s no any dilemma that Serbia will never withdraw from Northern Mitrovica of Kosovo. This made more clear Serbia’s Prime Minister Ivica Dacic saying that “Serbia will never give up northern Kosovo.”

Although this statement of the Prime Minister Ivica Dacic is contrary with the content of Brussels Agreement about the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo(signatory of which is Dacic itself) this is a really great truth that proving that official Belgrade would never relinquish the old colonial policy on Kosovo (1912-1999). It is very clear, and this is the reason why the Serbian Government and Parliament have signed and ratified the Brussels Agreement (April 19, 2013) in order to gradually restore colonial sovreignty of Serbia on Kosovo.

This our conclusion clearly testifies alleged statement by Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic: “Serbia will never give up northern Kosovo.” Is this the essence of the Brussels Agreement on the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo that Belgrade never abandon Kosovo?!
