On The Edge of a Financial Cliff

opinions

I have read so many times these past few weeks after the election, the question; where do we go from here? This old guy has an opinion as usual and it really isn’t our decision where we go from here. What happens now is really in other guy’s hands.

A Four Year Political Trip

When we get into someone else’s car because it is the only ride available and we are really forced to ride along, hoping we go close to where we would like to get out; we have no idea where it might end up because we are not in control.

Where do we go from here? Who knows because it is a four year ride and all we can do is hope and pray that we will make it for the next four years.

Two Options

One of two things will happen. Either we go to the destination the guy driving thinks we should go, who has no idea how to make it; we don’t want to ride with the guy driving but how much choice do we really have?

Take a Ride

Obama is at the wheel and is driving a hybrid and if we don’t run out of electrical power or gas the drive might get us to a place where we just might feel safe, but we are headed for a cliff doing 40 miles an hour…

The first option is we are headed for a financial cliff and it isn’t far away. If we go over the financial cliff it will take a very long time, if ever, to survive and remain a solid nation.

Option Two

The other way or option is, the ride is safe and for some reason it turns out great. Someone built a bridge.

This second option is that, those who are the real brains of this nation, the conservative guru’s, just might say damn the torpedoes full speed ahead and gear up the economy instead of gearing down the economy and bang we are in the black, things begin to turn around and headed for financial salvation.

Back in Option One

Obama is still driving the damn hybrid (symbol of his green economy) and just before it goes over the financial cliff it has a tire blow out and he stops.

While he is trying to get the tire fixed the guru’s build a bridge and he is the first to drive across the bridge and everyone is yelling, save the king, god save Obama.

History tells this old Story

The Bible tells us stories of the same problems throughout history. History with men running things just shows the patterns we create because we can’t enjoy success without screwing it up.

Men do well for awhile then, what do we do, we blow it and everything goes down again.

Man Can’t Have Life Without Strife

It’s the same way with wars; we just can’t get along… We just can’t live without fighting with our neighbors or with others. World History proves this very thing. The Greeks, Egyptians, Romans, Israelites, Syrians, the Babylonians they all had the same problems.

Their economy was great, wealth was flourishing, and people became more wicked full of themselves thinking how great they are then, boom. Everything gets bad, then worse, then war, and death, pain suffering and then silence.

Life is a Struggle

They struggle trying to return to a happy life appreciating everything hoping working but not paying attention to their attitudes or feelings and then the whole thing starts over again. When will we learn our stupidity has got to stop? We just can’t continue on like this and survive much longer.

Who’s at Fault

The economy is not Obama’s fault nor is it Bush’s fault it is our fault, we the people. We just get fat and happy let things slip and we blow it.

If we don’t pay attention to our honesty, integrity; we lose our moral fortitude, and slip into this mental stupor. We just lose our internal compass of who and what we are and should be and flounder before we crash.

The Reasons for Failure

Don’t blame others because we suffer and do without. It is our fault. We are just like the civilizations before us and just keep screwing it up.

When will we learn from history who really are and how we can make a continued progression over a long period of time without strife, conflict, pride, greed, envy, and self gratification, we just might become the people God sent us here to become…

If we learn we just might make a wonderful nation if we don’t drive over the financial cliff in a hybrid.
