Obamacare Growing More Unpopular With Each Poll Conducted

differing opinions.

The bad press on Obamacare has been building for some time. Very few people have anything good to say about it. It is likely the only people with a positive view are now gaining something that they weren’t before (and that is good for them) or they haven’t yet been bitten by it.

If nothing else, it ought to at least tell Congress that they need to read and understand the legislation they force upon the people, before they vote on it. Otherwise, we may as well just elect a bunch of monkeys from state zoos – they might just do a better job.

Fox News just released a poll that found 64 percent of Americans think Obamacare was a bad idea and would not have passed if the country as a whole had actually known what it contained.

Had the electorate been informed of what the 2300 page law was specifically designed to do; tax the middle-class and wealthy, bankrupt small businesses, curtail employment and undermine American health care, the final vote would have been much different in April, 2010 – unless congress actually wanted to do that to American citizens.

Some of the best health care in the world would have been saved if only it would have been possible to know that the Affordable Care Act was going to eliminate thousands of jobs, cut hours for thousands of workers and slow economic growth of small businesses across the country.

Yes, Really Death Panels

Not to mention the real fact there will be “death panels” in charge of rationing care for the very ill, thus hurrying an unknown number of deaths.

No one with the power to stop it stood up to tell America that socialized medicine in any form was a disaster in the making and wouldn’t address what were considered the original problems with health care in this country.

Yes, it’s expensive and some 30 million had no health insurance, but not all 325 million Americans.

Yet people did warn us.

Of course, the people who did give warnings are ridiculed by the Obama-loving mainstream media. Names like Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sarah Palin, Dr. Ben Carson and a score of conservative scholars.

A big part of America tuned them out and branded them “fanatics.”

Four Unsurprising Facts

Fact: Only 9 percent of poll respondents said their families were better off under Obamacare. This is a miserable showing for a law that was envisioned as a national panacea.

Fact: Seventy-four percent of Republicans, 68 percent of independents and even 54 percent of Democrats in the poll say the ACA would not have passed, had they known the real truth. No word on whether the others thought it would pass because legislators don’t care.

Fact: The poll also said that 56 percent of respondents felt Obamacare was about government controlling people’s lives, versus 40 percent who still think it has something to do with improving health care.

Even Democrats get this now.

Fact: Seventy-six percent of Americans in the poll blame Obama for the Obamacare disaster, including 61 percent of Democrats.

To many disappointed Americans who have now awakened to a federal big government “one size fits all” law, the majority of opinion now is that liberals live in their own little world where the gravity is low.

What other explanation for this disastrous law is possible?

More and more liberals are coming back to Earth and finally at long last realizing the mess they’ve made of one-sixth of America’s economy.

President Obama must agree since he has felt compelled to change parts of the law 29 times since it was passed. That isn’t the way that laws are supposed to be changed in this country. Only dictators change laws on their own whim.

November will reaffirm the discontent of an angry, confused, increasingly jobless electorate.
