This is my home, the place where I was born, have lived and hope it is where I will die and be buried. When I go to bed at night I have the great privilege of kneeling at my bed side or any other place I choose and say my prayers and give thanks for my freedom and my country. We can go to church on Sunday and worship God according to the dictates of our conscience. We can wake up every morning and thank God for this country and the right to live another day in harmony with our good desires.
I have an opportunity to become the best person I can be and so live my life to become such. A person can go to work at any type of job they prepare them self to perform. They may work with their hands laying bricks or in an office in a white shirt and tie or if they choose, they may be a soldier, doctor or lawyer, or a rich man, poor man, or beggar man or merchant chief, because it is a free country, a land of the free and the home of the brave.
The Price Of Freedom
The price we pay for being free is to dedicate one’s life to their nation that we may live, work, and die in the bosom of freedom. They who so choose will die to protect and defend their nation against those who would take away the freedoms others have died to preserve.
I have studied the Constitution of this nation and understand, to the best of my intelligence, the purpose of free people and their rights, freedoms and their responsibilities to preserve the freedom the constitution gives to the people. Those who wrote the Constitution and developed this free nation were men who knew more about freedom than people of this day and age.
They gave their all that this nation might succeed and become the ensign to the world of Freedom. They fought, lived and died for a greater cause than life itself. Men have fought and died to defend their rights as free men and to preserve a nation of liberty, for family and friends, to live, protect and defend the right to freedom until time expires. We have the opportunity to vote and cast our vote for others who support the Constitution and liberty.
Honoring Those Who Fought For Our Freedom
I honor those who have given their lives that we might enjoy the freedom and to those who fought and died to pass on the freedom to future generations. My heart is softened when I think of those who have died to preserve this freedom and for those who have defended freedom in the armed forces of this great nation.
My prayers thank God for those types of men and women who have died for us to live free. I will do as they have done and give my life for the cause of freedom if it so requires. I pledge allegiance to my nation and to the symbol of freedom and salute, Old Glory, the stars and stripes the American Flag.
When I hear the national anthem my body and soul turn to heavenly attention and chills run over my body. I love this Nation and hate the direction we are headed at this time and I will never turn against my nation but will fight for the rights that made this nation great and will keep America Free.
