Sayles also discusses his life quest from factory worker to screenwriter/director, and how it has informed his political consciousness in his films; the creative process without spin; and why costumes ended up more important than truth and history in movies today.

NBC Emmy nominated Arts Express reporter Cynthia Parsons McDaniel sheds light on the darkness that filled this revered and tragic poet’s life and death by suicide at the age of thirty, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of her passing on 2/11. And probes what all of this may have to do with self-doubt, the weather, motherhood, Lazarus, goddesses, kitchens, and ‘the common journey of women to project their own voices.’ Plath also reads from her recorded work.
