Hollywood has been considered the dream come true place for the young and upcoming stars. Hollywood productions in general never concentrated on the older generation, until Jackie Goldberg, “The Pink Lady” from Rockin With The Ages decided that there was a market for the older generation of 60 plus to entertain the young and middle age. The “Beat Goes On” has broken Hollywood rules and has sold out at the Theatre of Arts Arena Stage in Hollywood.
Cate Caplin, who has written, directed and choreographed “The Beat Goes On,” has received 5 out of 5 star reviews and recently received 4 Broadway nominations for the Broadway World Awards. Carmelita Pittman, one of the stars in the production stated,” Age is only a number.
“As long as you are young at heart you will always be young.” There is no dull moments in this sassy, all sexy and all sizzlin production, with a cast that has proven being old doesn’t mean you’re out of the picture. Included in this production, is music by David O’wgich certainly enhances the production value of this show.
Included in the cast is, Susan McIver Ewing, Bobbi Stamm, Kit Smythe, Michele Bernath, Barbera Haber, Phyllis Lovit, Anna Pagan, Carmelita Pittman, Larry Lederman, Dominick Morra, Derrel Maury, Richard Fox, Vernon McGhee, and Joe Giamalva.
Matinees are on Thursdays at 2pm and on Friday evenings at 8pm.
