L.A. Band No Convention Records with Billy Sherwood from Legendary Band Yes

No Convention is true indie alternative-rock. Their base is a wide variety of influence and experience, and their sound and musical taste is eclectic and very good.

They have fans all over Southern California, after playing The Whisky A Go Go, Molly Malone’s, the House of Blues and many others.

They have been around for a couple of years, and in September, 2013, we saw their debut EP, “Yours To See.”

In August, 2014, they released their latest single, called “121 Days.” The producer for that single was the legendary Billy Sherwood, producer and current bassist for the band Yes.

Now No Convention is hard at work in the studio recording their next full-length album, called “Welcome To Hollywood.” Look for this album in late 2015.

The band says they plan to follow up this album with a series of regional shows early next year, and then tour the continental United States in the Summer of 2016.

After living in the United States for 15 years, he is now in South Australia. To learn more about how Alan can help you with content marketing and managed content services, contact him by email.

Technical Expertise

Alan is also a techie. His father was a British soldier in the 4th Indian Division in WWII, with Sikhs and Gurkhas. He was a sergeant in signals and after that, he was a printer who typeset magazines and books on his linotype machine. Those skills were passed on to Alan and his brothers, who all worked for Telecom Australia, on more advanced signals (communications). After studying electronics, communications, and computing at college, and building and repairing all kinds of electronics, Alan switched to programming and team building and management.

He has a fascination with shooting video footage and video editing, so watch out if he points his Canon 7d in your direction.
