The 10th annual ‘Hillstock’ Festival is staged at Foresthill Park on Saturday 4th August. The Show starts at 12:00 noon and runs until 6:00pm.
Acts perform in the Gazebo, located at the bottom of the ‘natural amphitheatre’ that is Foresthill Park.
Alongside the show, the local volunteer fire service hold their annual “peddlers market.” The market starts around 9:00am Saturday morning.
This year’s mucic lineup:
Music Time Acoustic Set 12:00 – 2:00 Who Dunnit 2:00 – 3:00 Table 24 3:00 – 4:00 Hot Salad 4:00 – 5:00 Dan, Diana, and Friends 5:00 – 6:00
What makes “Hillstock” so enjoyable for those who perform is the friendly and easy going nature of the show. There is no stress involved. Musicians are provided with Amplifiers, PA, Sound Engineers and there’s even a ‘top quality’ drum kit, so all they have to bring is themselves and their instruments.
The event is organized and sponsored each year by Rick Loscher and his friend Dan. It’s funded to some extent by “Tshirt sales,” so the purchase of a Tshirt is encouraged for all who attend.
Sound Re-enforcement is provided by Mo Debbage and Chris Saint from the band Table 24. Mo says the natural amphitheater is perfect for sitting and enjoying the show, great for the view and for the sound.
The previous nine shows have always been hailed as a great success and have grown in popularity over the years to where there’s now about 500 attendees for various performances throughout the afternoon.
When asked about the day’s activities Mo Debbage responded .” ..it’s a long day for us, but is so enjoyable it’s worth all the work and effort. Everyone who performs or comes to watch has a really good time.”
This is a really good show for all the family – get there and have a great time.
