Gloria Estefan Finds Paradise in Vero Beach at Costa d’Este

International music superstar Gloria Estefan and her manager-husband Emilio invited 300 people last Thursday for a sneak preview of Costa d’Este. The couple’s new $50-million beachside hotel unlocked its doors on Monday for the public to see.

According to resort publicists, a huge party of the opening will be in this fall in order to gain interest to the hotel.

Costa d’Este was rebuilt around the Palm Court Hotel that was severely destroyed by hurricanes in 2004. “This (Estefan’s hotel) will give a real nice boost” to the area near to the Riverside Theatre and the Vero Beach Museum of Art, said Penny Chandler, president of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce.

Gloria is going to be a fabulous neighbor. I am truly fortunate that Gloria’s paradise is a short stroll down the beach from my home so I experience the magic everyday, says Judyth Piazza.

This will be a busy time for Estefan, who is kicking off her “90 Millas (90 Miles) Spanish Tour 2008” from the Tennis Club of Hotel Puente in Romano, Marbella. The tour will go to other parts of Spain from August to September that includes hits such as “Don’t Wanna Lose You” and material from her new album, 90 Millas.

Joining her is her longtime band, the Miami Sound Machine, and other acts such as actor Andy Garcia and Carlos Santana. Estefan’s tour will begin on August 24.
