What Makes The Dark Knight Shine?

Killing the cliche is probably the hardest thing to do in screenwriting sometimes. I believe many people watched Super-Man and thought “I knew that was gonna happen.”

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight had an air of newness in it. If a script is what defines a film’s skeleton and muscles, then the cast is the skin and the youthful zeal that ultimately makes the film attractive.

There has to be a balance and for some strange reason which delights us all that Christopher Nolan (Inception) and Jonathan Nolan who both worked on the screenplays have managed to concoct tales of the caped crusader so compelling that we dream of bat signals in our sleep instead of boring sheep.

With the Nolan brothers taking on The Man of Steel, the next Super-Man installment, we can only thank God and pray it’s a good one. If it does go well, who knows if the Justice League movie will leave the realm of folklore and Internet legend and begin to take shape.

If MARVEL studios have anything to fear, The Dark Knight Rises, the third epic installment of what has been the grandmother of all revamps, will single-handedly take apart The Avengers.
