Christian’s Vote — Now!

Romans 13 of The Bible tells what does God think of governments, but does that go with voting? Christians not only have the freedom of religion, but they also have the freedom to vote either by ballot or silence. Silence does provide them the advantage, for it gives them the upper hand in defending their faith to those against God’s Moral Law.

In Chapter 25 from the book of Matthew, the Master gave his servants money to invest. One servant burned it because he thinks it was the right thing, leading the Master to call him “lazy” and “wicked”. The money was taken, and the servant was exiled to “outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth”.

We find faults in other people because those are the same flaws we have — the ones we don’t like about ourselves. But if we judge others, God will judge us, for we reap what we sow. When we meet God face-to-face, he’ll judge us for how we respond to Him as well as what we did with what we had. The servant’s opinion in Matthew 25 had no importance to the Master, but we’re still responsible not only for our actions, but we’re also still accountable to vote.

Thomas Jefferson was confident when he told pastors that the church would be protected from government interference, not government divorce from biblical morality.

“…We therefore, the representatives of the United Colonies submit the rectitude of our intentions to the Supreme Judge of the world.” — Founding Fathers, Declaration of Independence

The foundation of God is based on love, truth, justice, forgiveness, salvation, servitude, self-sacrifice, faith, mercy, compassion, goodness, and so forth. However, the United States of America is dying spiritually and morally, for it accepts adultery, abortion, political and business corruption, homosexuality, and more as values and ways of life.

Who we decide to vote as our next President for the 2008 Election, that choice connects with that candidate — along with their beliefs, convictions, the choices they make that can either help or hurt this nation (us included), and the possible consequences that comes with them.

We vote God as Lord of our life, so it is time to vote the next President of our United States of America.
