Loving Healing Press Achieves Lightning Source Digital Certification

Loving Healing Press (LHP) of Ann Arbor, Michigan is proud to announce the achievement of Digital Certification from Lightning Source Inc (LSI). This special distinction is awarded to “high volume publishers” who meet the stringent quality control specifications from LSI.

LHP recently celebrated the introduction of its 100th published title and what better reward for the six-year relationship they’d had than to be awarded the Digital Certification. The certification standards include a variety of criteria about how the cover files and book interior files are prepared. Because a certified provider submits truly POD-ready files — with no human intervention needed — the time-to-market is decreased from 7 to 10 days to just 3 to 4 days for a brand new title. Talk about instant books, this is the closest small presses ever get to that.

LSI coupled with the muscle of Ingram, one of the world’s largest book producers, plus its partners overseas Bertram Books (UK), The Hachette Group (France), Agapea (Spain), Angus & Robertson (Australia), and the amazing Espresso Book Machine that can print and bind a book in about 5 minutes, this gives a publisher truly global coverage. LSI has printed and shipped more than 10 million books in its first 10 years of operation as a subsidiary of Ingram Book Group.

Founded in 2003, LHP specializes in books about disabilities, personal growth, and trauma and abuse recovery in fulfillment of their mission of “redefining what is possible for healing mind and spirit.” Modern History Press, their biggest imprint (subdivision), specializes in telling empowering stories of life and conflict in modern times through poetry, memoir, and fiction.
