Why Email Marketing is Still Very Effective

The world is developing at a rapid pace in terms of technology. We are getting more advanced as the time progresses. Throughout all of the technical advances, one form of marketing still remains highly effective, and that is email marketing.

Email is still one of the most convenient forms of communication, right there with text messaging. “It allows you to deliver marketing messages right to the hands of your customers and prospects, since the majority of users access their email on their mobile devices. Now, you have to assume your recipients will be viewing the offer on their mobile phones, so craft your messages accordingly,” says Dana VanDeCar, COO of Optimally Organic. Here is why email marketing is still effective.

Creates a strong relationship

A business with a very large email network can communicate and make the relationship even stronger. You don’t always have to send special offers or advertisements to your list. Sometimes, just sharing helpful and useful information is a great idea, which helps to build the relationship.

“The fastest way to lose email subscribers is to flood their inbox with special offers, discount codes and advertisements. If they know every email you send them contains that they will leave your list and view your emails as a headache. Give them value. In turn, they will then take you up on your offers if you sprinkle them in,” says Darryl Howard of NuWays MD, a medical spa in Boca Raton.

Easily reach mobile customers

Is your business one that needs to target people on the go? If so, email is a great way to drive foot traffic, as most people will open their emails on their phones and while on the go. Restaurants and retail stores can use email marketing to command instant attention and if there is a compelling enough offer you can see an instant response.

Make sure if you use this approach you work in your address into the email body, as most mobile browsers will allow the reader to click on it and their phone’s navigation will automatically provide them with directions. This little trick can help push users to visit your store on the go.

Drives online sales

One of the most attractive things about email marketing is that you can literally see revenue come in right after pressing the send button. “While you don’t want to overdo the promotional email, if you have a special offer that your entire email list will love, then create a subject line that will pull a high click-through rate and then make a limited time offer and watch your sales spike,” says Jake Braun of ChopperExchange, a website to help sell your Harley.

Inexpensive

While you have to spend money to build your list, regardless of how it’s built, the great thing is that you are actually building an asset for your business. “As your list grows, so does your reach each time you deploy an email message. Even though you will spend money building it, you are not necessarily paying to reach the person over and over, like you would if you were trying to get them to engage with a paid social media ad,” explains Luqman Khan of Wireloo, a website that just announced the best indoor grill pan 2018.

You can also leverage your email list to help other areas of your marketing, like gaining social media followers. Not all of your emails have to have a purchase offer. Something as simple as, “Please follow us on Facebook … and for taking the time to read this, here is a 10% off coupon to use anytime in the future.” This gets you more followers that you can then market to on additional platforms.
