The Folsom Police Department will host the 11th annual K9 Trials. Participants from Law Enforcement agencies throughout the region compete in a scenario based competition that demonstrates abilities commonly used in a patrol environment.

The K9 handlers will demonstrate searching, protection, call offs, obedience, agility and obstacle skills.

The free event, held at the Dan Russell Arena, 401 Stafford Street, in Folsom runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Parking is available at the Folsom City Park and behind City Hall, located at 50 Natoma Street, Folsom.

Various K9 souvenirs are available for purchase during the event. All proceeds from souvenir sales go to the Folsom Police K9 Unit.

The event is supported by the Western States Police Canine Association, the Folsom Police Department and the Folsom Police Canine Unit.
