Hairstylist Daniel DiCriscio and the O.J. Simpson Murder Trial

Date:

Daniel DiCriscio, a celebrity hairstylist, takes a look back at his now infamous clients – major role players in the highly publicized O.J. Simpson murder trial.

Faye Resnick, friend of Nicole Brown Simpson, was a regular customer of DiCriscio and asked him to help her with her upcoming Playboy cover shoot. Her first cover shoot was tossed because she was, in the eyes of superficial Hollywood culture, “not sexy enough.” Her looks were likened to those of a librarian.

DiCriscio, determined to shove it in their faces, turned Resnick into a Sex Kitten. He took it all upon himself – makeup, hair, poses, consulting for the cover and the layout.

For lack of better phrasing – he shot the hell out of it.

For her hair, he used a special oft-copied curled hair style – one of which he is credited with innovating, which he had used previously on Pamela Anderson. He did it the hard way – no flat irons and no curlers, since they were frowned upon by hairstylists and clients. The layout came out absolutely stunning.

DiCriscio did some work with another player in the murder trial – Kato Kaelin. Kaelin enlisted the help of DiCriscio for his Playgirl cover shoot and layout. He did everything except shoot the thing – makeup, hair, layouts and consulting.

As for legal analyst Star Jones, DiCriscio would often do her hair.

DiCriscio is currently at work on his own Docu-Series, aka “Reality Show,” which follows his life as as Celebrity Stylist in Los Angeles and is penning a Tell-All Book based on his life and career in the entertainment industry.
