Schoolboy Beaten to Death By Teacher in Diphu

Barely five days after the incident of pounding a class X student by a school principal, another incident of brutality by a teacher has shocked the people of the entire locality.

According to police, Monaj Das (12) a class IV student of Bakuliaghat National Academy, around 65 kilometers from Diphu, was allegedly beaten to death by his teacher who was identified as Pranab Das. The incident reportedly took place Tuesday. The death of the student was later linked to suicide.

According to Madhab Das, father of the victim, Pranab Das is the real culprit and murderer of his minor son. The grieving father recalled the incident by issuing statements that he was informed by Pranab Das around 10.00 PM that day that his son was very ill. When he reached the teacher’s place, he saw his son hanging from the ceiling with marks of multiple external injuries all over his body.

The student was rushed to Diphu for an autopsy and case Number 35/15 has been registered at Bakuliaghat police station but no arrest has been made so far.

The local people have alleged that around 12 students of the school used to stay in the residence of the teacher prior to the incident. However, due to the extreme brutality of Pranab Das, the students abandoned his accommodation except for the victim who stayed for six months enduring extreme sorts of corporal punishment.

“He even complained to me about the brutality but I did not pay much heed ignoring it as childish grumble,” Madhab Das said.
