Guwahati: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday visited Kamakhya Temple, in Guwahati.
Accompanied by former Union Railway minister Mukul Roy, the West Bengal CM had arrived at Borjhar airport and visited the historic temple.
“It is my personal visit and I offered my prayer to goddess Kamakhya,” the West Bengal CM said.
“I consider myself extremely lucky that my wish has been fulfilled today and promise to again visit in the next few months,” Mamata said.
Banerjee further said that it was her second visit to Assam and she told the people gathered there that she sanctioned 22 trains to the state as the Railway minister.
Mamata Banerjee left to return to Kolkata after visiting Kamakhya temple.
