Kuki National Assembly Appeals for Peace

Diphu December 23: President of Kuki National Assembly, Tongthang Touthang, has expressed deep concern about the continuing violent man-made calamity in Assam.

Through a press release issued today the young leader stated that “since recent past people of Karbi Anglong and Assam is witnessing bloodshed and experiencing untold sufferings and seemingly the situation is hopeless; however if we all commit ourselves unto His mighty care with the Lord the hopeless situation is not only possible but also favorable, He can only turn a mess into a message and a trial into triumph, a test into a testimony and a victim into victory.” Tongthang Touthang said.

While mentioning the Christmas and other festivals ahead Tongthang Touthang called for maintenance of peace and communal accord among all community and to uphold the spirit of universal brotherhood.

He wished a Merry Christmas to all.
