Kashmir Safe for Tourists

Srinagar- The former militant commander and now chairman of the pro-independence separatist group JKLF, Yasin Malik Tuesday said Indian administered Kashmir is safe for tourists.

“Kashmiris were proud of their hospitality and humanness and have safeguarded this wealth of in the most difficult times of history,” Malik said while talking with a group of tourists, who called on him at his residence in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, today.

He appealed the tourists not to heed lies and rumours that are being spread to scare them away from visiting Kashmir. “In fact, Kashmir has a rich tradition and culture of hospitality and that Kashmir was a perfectly safe and ideal place for travellers to enjoy their holidays,” he asserted.

He said Kashmiris have always safeguarded their guests even at the cost of their lives. “We have never shown any weakness in this regard and even in difficult times we have proved our hospitality and humanness,” he said.

Malik said Kashmiris were bound by their ethics about the guests and will never shun this righteous path.
