IPS Officer Missing in Arunachal

An IPS officer who was the investigating officer of the multi-crore PDS scam in Arunachal Pradesh has been missing from October 16, officials said.

The IPS officer went to Tippi in the West Kameng district of the hill state on his way to the Indo-China border town.

A top official source of the Arunachal Pradesh Government said MS Chauhan had asked inspector Mohan Kaye and constable Vikram Singh to drop him at Tippi market and wait for him nearby a river, but the IPS officer did not return.

MS Chauhan was appointed as a investigating officer of the multi-crore PDS scam in Arunachal Pradesh in 2008 by Gauhati High Court.

Meanwhile Arunachal police launched a search operation to trace the missing IPS officer.
