The Raffles Group currently operates 3 universities and 33 colleges across 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific region and has in its portfolio the most sought-after Professional Development Programs and courses including their award winning programs in Design, Executive Management and Hospitality among others. Its graduates are keenly sought all over the world.
Raffles Millennium International (RMI) will offer training courses in Fashion Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Multimedia Design, Fashion Marketing. In addition courses in Business Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management will also be on offer. Admissions for the first academic session commencing in April have already begun. Students will be eligible for credit transfers from RMI in their final years to any of the 32 colleges like in Sydney, New Zealand, Singapore. They may be able to eventually take the examination for a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from the Raffles College of Design and Commerce, an Australian approved Higher Education Provider.
Situated in the heart of the city at Sector 25, RMI boasts of state-of-art class rooms, Design Labs, international faculty and a choice of international internships.
A student here will have the opportunity to get exposed to internationally trained practitioners who will be teaching what is relevant in the real world; they will also have an option of transferring to any of the overseas Raffles campuses after two years to continue their higher studies. Most importantly, students will learn “life skills” that will prepare a foundation for building their own businesses in the future.
“In India there is an acute shortage of Institutes that offer high quality, world class professional courses that prepares students for a career of their choice in today’s challenging global environment. We hope to fill that gap through setting of RMI Centres across major cities. The programs here will focus on niche, specialized areas in which required competencies are not available in India and students have to travel outside, thus incurring huge expenses” ” said Mr. Harpreet Singh, President – Higher Education , Educomp Solutions Ltd.
Mr.Mike Yam, President, India Operation, Raffles Education Corp, Singapore, said “The new centre in India will allow us to tap into the over 657 million youth population in the country – the largest population of young people in the world. In the near future, the Group is also looking to expand its footprint in India through the establishment of more centres in India’s main cities. We believe our success in China will be replicated in India.”
