The Holi festival of colors was celebrated on Wednesday across India with full zeal and enthusiasm. From children to old aged people, everybody was seen throwing colours on each other and enjoying the celebrations.
The Holi celebrations continue for 2 days with fervor and passion, but in the cities of Mathura and Vrindavan in the Northern state of Uttar Pradesh, the celebrations go on for a week.
According to mythology, Lord Krishna (the God worshipped by Hindus) was born in Mathura and the festival shows the pure love between him and Radha.
