‘Hundred Epilogues’ Inaugurated in Guwahati

‘Hundred Epilogues’, an anthology of poems written by a promising poet Jyotishman Debnath was inaugurated at Guwahati Press Club on Thursday.

Renowned Assamese poet Sameer Tanti, distinguished intellectual Anjan Thakur and famous critic Pradip Acharjya had formally released the book.

The writer Jyotishman Debnath said he used to write poems through various social networking sites and blogs on the internet.

“Today’s society, human psychology, personal spontaneous feelings have been depicted with utmost austerity in my poems,” Debnath said.

He was inspired by his father, the eminent Assamese poet, Prem Narayan Nath and also his mother Dr. Nirala Devi.

Several renowned Assamese poets and many distinguished persons attended the function.
