BJP Criticizes UPA For India’s Economic Situation

Criticizing the UPA government for the country’s current economic situation, BJP president Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that poor economic planning and corruption had created all the problems.

Addressing a rally held in Guwahati, the BJP president said that India needs a man of steel as Prime Minister, not someone who sits still.

“Dr Manmohan Singhji is a still Prime Minister, who never speaks,” Rajnath Singh said.

“The Country’s present economic situation is becoming more difficult. Fiscal deficit and current account deficit are rising and everything becoming more costly,” the BJP president said.

Referring to the country’s present economic situation, Rajnath Singh claimed that inflation was under control during NDA rule.

Speaking on the issue of corruption, the BJP president said that, corruption has been rising under the UPA government, where ministers were also found in various corruption cases.

In demographic changes in Assam, Rajnath Singh said that, it is an serious issue for the nation.

“The Prime Minister has not spoken any word on the issue, who represent to the Rajya Sabha from Assam for the fifth consecutive term,” Singh said.

A top leader of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and former minister of the Assam state government Atul Bora joined BJP with his 500 supporters.

For his first visit to Assam after he took charge as the president of the party, Rajnath Singh had launched the mission 2014 in Assam. He met with senior leaders of the state BJP and worked on strategy for the next general election.

In the last general election, BJP won four of the 14 lok sabha seats in Assam.
