Assam Wins Cricket Match Against Tripura

A 10-wicket comprehensive win against Tripura, host Assam ensured bonus point in Ranji Trophy group-C match held in Guwahati on Monday.

Assam won the match of the four-day long match by getting seven points.

Following the first inning, Tripura dismissed 366 in their second innings and leaves for a target 62 runs for the host team, in which Assam reached the target without lost of wicket.

In the second inning of Tripura, Ajay Ratra smashed a brilliant ton (124) hitting 18 boundaries.

Ratra was involved in vital partnerships with Manisankar Murasingh (62), Timir Chanda (58), but the team could defend the host team defeat after Ratra backed to pavilion as leg before wicket by pacer Arup Das.

For Assam, left-arm spinner Jamaluddin Syed Mohammad broke Tripura innings as haul four-wicket in 83 runs, with supporting of Arup Das (3/52) and Abu Nechim Ahmed (2/94).

Assam reached the target in 15.2 overs, where Pallav Kumar Das smashed unbeaten 52 runs in 60 balls with nine boundaries.
