Angry With Inflation, Corruption ‘Youth’ Slapped Indian Union Minister

New Delhi: Indian Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar was slapped today by a youth at a public function. The assailant was identified as Harwinder Singh. He claimed that he was angry and dissatisfied with corruption and inflation issues.

Singh was later taken into custody by the security guards at the scene is currently in the custody of the Delhi police. He has also been accused of assaulting former Indian telecom minister Sukh Ram last Saturday.

In the meantime, no FIR has been filed yet by Sharad Pawar regarding the incident.

When asked by the media why he slapped the 71 year old man, he said, “These politicians have been causing nothing but trouble in the country, they deserve the same.”

He further said, “I will continue to attack politicians. I am the same person who attacked Sukhram last week and I will continue doing this. I do not regret any of my actions.”

The Union Indian Minster Pawar later reacting to the incident called it stupid and said that he did not make much out of it.

Meanwhile, the Indian prime minster and many other ministers and have condemned the attack.
