At least 300 people including children have fallen ill after having Prasad of Saraswati Puja at Khetri in Assam’s Kamrup (Metro) district on Saturday, officials said.
The people including students of Durung LP School, Durung ME School and Durung High School have fallen ill after taking Prasad of Saraswati puja.
They were all admitted at Guwahati Medical College hospital, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury hospital, Down Town hospital, Sonapur and Khetri hospital.
“The condition of the 30 children is serious, they have been transferred to Guwahati Medical College hospital,” an official of Kamrup (Metro) district administration said.
